The portfolio of Motive Power solutions includes industrial batteries, chargers, systems and services for forklift trucks, floor care machines, automated guided vehicles, mining, airport ground service equipment and specialty solutions. Thanks to its global service network, EnerSys® is the only competitor offering an extensive preventative maintenance program. In addition to this, all systems can be tailor-made to the customer’s individual needs. All products guarantee reduced maintenance and operational costs, total system reliability, increased productivity and maximized use of floor space. EnerSys® battery designs meet most of the global size requirements, the European “DIN” and British Standard as well as the North American and Asian specifications. Today renowned names such as Jungheinrich, Komatsu, Linde, Michelin, Peugeot, Renault, TESCO, Toyota or the United States Postal Service rely on products made by EnerSys®.

In the Reserve Power field, the company supplies batteries for telecommunications, UPS, the utilities, for renewable and specialty applications as well as power solutions for the aerospace and defence sector. BP, BT, Ericsson, Motorola, Orange and Schneider Electric are only a few references in this sector. The third business field “Technologies” includes advanced lead, nickel and lithium-based energy storage batteries and related smart systems and chargers.

Operating more than 20 manufacturing and assembly plants in Europe, North America and Asia and servicing clients across the globe from over 100 different countries, Ener- Sys® is a true global player. In order to get in touch with the end users, the company regularly exhibits at international trade shows and fairs such as the Aviation Show in Paris and Dubai.With around 7,000 people on the payroll, the energy storage specialist achieves revenues around two billion USD. “In terms of revenues, we have been the undisputed world leader in industrial storage energy solutions for the last four years,” says Mr. Kubis. Expansion and growth are at the top of the company’s future agenda. “We aim to grow organically as well as through acquisitions,” says the president. Only recently, EnerSys took on Oerlikon batteries, a Swiss market leader providing high integrity solutions worldwide. KM- Keystone Montaineer from the USA, a specialist in mining products, is another recent acquisition. “We are going to expand our existing factories and open up new ones in order to release new capacities,” says Mr. Kubis. “We will expand our business in terms of technology and geography in order to consolidate our global footprint.” As the demand for energy storage solutions has been increasing for the last years, Mr. Kubis has every reason to look to the future with confidence.
